Introduction
Metrovision has developped several specific solutions for testing vision in young children.
Two different approaches are used:
• vision electrophysiology responses: the electrical activity of the retina and of the visual cortex
provide objective information on vision
• behavioral responses: the eye movement or head movement responses can also be used to assess vision
Flash ERG and VEP
The MonBaby stimulator allows flash ERG tests on young children in lying position.
This stimulator can be used as a stand-alone equipment or as a peripheral of the MonPackONE unit.
Sweep VEP
The sweep VEP exam allows objective and fast measurement of visual acuity using visual evoked potentials
Baby vision test
The baby vision test is similar to the preferential looking test with the advantage of providing an objective response based on the recording of eye and head movements.
