Video-oculography by Metrovision

Introduction

This program is designed for the study of eye movement with video-oculography:
• fixations,
• saccades,
• pursuits,
• optokinetic nystagmus (OKN).

The MonPackONE vision stimulator is used for the generation of stimulation targets.

Metrovision's eye tracker allows in real time and simultaneously
• the analysis of the video and extraction of the positions of the pupils and of a reflective dot placed on the subject's forehead,
• the display of the horizontal and vertical positions of both eyes,
• the display and storage of the video in compressed mode

Example of recording of saccades

This video is a replay at slow speed of saccades recorded at a frequency of 200 Hz
The light grey trace shows the displacement of the visual target versus ime:
(up for the subjects's right and down for the subject's left)
The two red and green traces on top show the horizontal positions of the right and left eyes
The two red and green traces on bottom show the velocities of both eyes.
